What is techno music?

What is techno? What does techno sound like?
Alot of people these days still label anything that sounds electronic as techno. Techno is just one of several types of electronic music. There are many different genres of electronic music and each has their own subgenres, so much that it has actually become ridiculous these days. One artist begins to do something different sounding, and suddenly it becomes a named subgenre and other people try to create similar sounding tracks. This can be very confusing when you are looking for new music. But like I said in my previous post on where to find techno songs and other electronic music, just keep your ears open and you will find tracks and artists you like.
